What Does The BMW P1421 Code Mean?

The Engine Control Module detects a short circuit to ground when activating the secondary air injection solenoid valve. The air mass is greater than 12 but less than 152 m kg/h, coolant temperature is greater than 3 but less than 75 degrees Celsius.

  • Connector to the secondary air injection valve is loose or disconnected
