OVERVIEWWhat Does The Audi P1420 Code Mean?
The Engine Control Module activates the secondary air injection solenoid valve, but the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) does not detect secondary air injection.
Note: Solenoid valve is closed when no voltage is present.
What Are The Potential Causes Of The Audi P1420 Code?
- Connector to the secondary air injection valve is loose or disconnected
- Secondary air injector valve circuit short
- Secondary air injector valve circuit is open
- Faulty secondary air injector valve
- ECM has failed
