What Does The Audi P1422 Code Mean?

The Engine Control Module detects a short circuit to B+ when activating the secondary air injection solenoid valve.

Note: Solenoid valve is closed when no voltage is present.

  • Connector to the secondary air injection valve is loose or disconnected
  • Secondary air injector valve circuit short
  • Secondary air injector valve circuit is open
  • Faulty secondary air injector valve
