What Does The Audi P1421 Code Mean?

This code indicates that the Engine Control Module detects a short circuit to ground when activating the secondary air injection solenoid valve.

Note: Solenoid valve is closed when no voltage is present.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Audi P1421 Code?

  • Connector to the secondary air injection valve is loose or disconnected
  • Secondary air injector valve circuit short
  • Secondary air injector valve circuit is open
