OVERVIEWWhat Does The Nissan P1448 Code Mean?
Engine started, Engine running under cruise conditions at a light engine load, then back to idle speed for 1 minute, and the PCM detected the EVAP Canister Vent Control Valve remained open during a period when it should have been closed during the test.
What Are The Potential Causes Of The Nissan P1448 Code?
- EVAP canister vent control valve is damaged or has failed
- EVAP control pressure sensor is damaged or has failed
- EVAP canister vent control valve rubber tube is blocked
- EVAP water separator has failed or canister is full of water
- EVAP vacuum
How Can You Fix The Nissan P1448 Code?
NOTE: If DTC P1448 is displayed with P0440 or P1440, perform
trouble diagnosis for DTC P1448 first.
- Check rubber tube for clogging. Clean it using an air blower.
- Check and replace EVAP canister vent control valve if needed.
- Check and replace vacuum cut valve if needed.
- Repair hose or replace EVAP canister.
- Repair hose or replace the EVAP control system pressure sensor.
