What Does The Infiniti P1440 Code Mean?

Engine started, vehicle driven at cruise speed at light engine load, and the PCM detected a small leak present in the EVAP system with the Purge and Canister Control Vent solenoids “on” in the Leak test.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Infiniti P1440 Code?

  • Fuel filler cap loose, damaged or incorrect application
  • EVAP canister vent valve is damaged or contaminated
  • EVAP system leaks (in canister or related vapor lines)
  • EVAP control system vapor pressure sensor line is blocked
  • MAP/BARO switch sole
