What Does The Ford P1443 Code Mean?

Engine started, engine warmup completed engine running at a steady cruise speed, and the PCM detected a leak or blockage was present somewhere in the vapor line between the intake manifold, EVAP purge valve and the charcoal canister during the Continuous.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Ford P1443 Code?

  • EVAP canister purge valve is damaged or has failed
  • PF sensor is out-of-calibration or it is “skewed”
  • PCM has failed
