What Does The Chevrolet P1640 Code Mean?

Engine started; brakes pedal not applied, and the PCM detected an unexpected voltage condition on the ODM A fault line for 5 seconds during the CCM test. The controls to the EVAP, Fan Control and TCC Solenoid may not work if this code is set.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Chevrolet P1640 Code?

  • EVAP solenoid control circuit open, shorted to ground or to B+
  • Fan relay 2 control circuit is open, shorted to ground or to B+
  • TCC solenoid control circuit is open, shorted to ground or to B+
  • PCM has failed
