What Does The Acura P1640 Code Mean?

Condition for setting the DTC: DTC P1618 not set, engine started, engine running, system voltage over 13.2v for 4 seconds, and the PCM detected an open circuit condition and an unexpected high voltage condition on the Output Driver Module circuit (A/C Clutch Relay or Purge Solenoid).

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Acura P1640 Code?

  • One or more output device driver circuits connected to ODM ‘A’ has an open circuit condition
  • One or more output device driver circuits connected to ODM ‘A’ has a short-to-voltage condition
  • Check for an open power circuit to the related output device
