What Does The Chevrolet P1561 Code Mean?

Engine started; and the PCM detected an unexpected voltage on the Vent Solenoid control circuit with the Cruise Control engaged, or with it disengaged for 50 ms.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Chevrolet P1561 Code?

  • Vent solenoid circuit is open or shorted to ground (solenoid on)
  • Vent solenoid circuit is shorted to system power (solenoid off)
  • C/C vent solenoid is damaged or has failed
  • PCM has failed
