What Does The Chevrolet P1403 Code Mean?

Engine started; ECT sensor more than 183ºF, vehicle driven to over 20 mph in 1st or 2nd gear to over 20 mph at a speed of 1000-1488 rpm, A/C Clutch “off”, then while in coast-down mode, HO2S signal more than 566 mv.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Chevrolet P1403 Code?

  • EGR tube is clogged or restricted, or the EGR valve is sticking
  • EGR Solenoid 1 control circuit is open or shorted to ground
