What Does The Chevrolet P1218 Code Mean?

Key on or engine running; and the PCM did not detect the correct current valid resistor value, or it determined that it was unable to read the current resistor value during the CCM test.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Chevrolet P1218 Code?

  • Fuel solenoid driver connections have a problem
  • Fuel solenoid is damaged or has failed
  • Fuel injection pump is damaged or has failed (a new pump will need to be “timed” using the correct pump timing procedure)
