What Does The Chevrolet P1214 Code Mean?

Key on or engine running; and the PCM detected the Timing Offset was more than 2.46 degrees or less than -2.46 degrees. Note: This code may set due to an intermittent fault.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Chevrolet P1214 Code?

  • The PCM will only run the test if the TDC offset adjustment time set procedure has been activated. The vehicle will most likely not be brought in with this code in memory.
  • CKP sensor incorrectly installed or mounting tab is broken
  • Fuel injection pump is bad
