Engine started, battery voltage at least 11.5v, all electrical components off, ground connections between engine and chassis well connected, and the DME detected the crankshaft position sensor and the camshaft sensor were out of sequence with each other.
What Are The Potential Causes Of The BMW P1340 Code?
- Engine speed sensor has failed or is contaminated (metal filings)
- Engine speed sensor’s wheel is damaged
- Engine speed sensor circuit is shorted to the cable shield
- Engine speed sensor circuit is open
- DME is faulty
- Camshaft position sensor
