What Does The Acura P1381 Code Mean?

Engine cranking or running; and the PCM did not detect any signals from the Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor 1 during the CCM test.

Note: The engine will start and run without the CMP sensor 1 signal.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Acura P1381 Code?

  • CMP signal circuit is open or shorted to ground
  • CMP pickup assembly or CMP sensor is damaged or has failed
  • PCM has failed
