What Does The Honda P1498 Code Mean?

Key on or engine running, and the PCM detected the EGR Valve Lift sensor signal was more than an allowable range stored in memory.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Honda P1498 Code?

  • EGR valve lift sensor circuit is open or shorted to power
  • EGR valve lift sensor is shorted to VREF or system power (B+)
  • EGR valve lift sensor is stuck, damaged or has failed
  • PCM has failed
