OVERVIEWWhat Does The Acura P1491 Code Mean?
Vehicle driven in closed loop at 1700-2500 rpm for over 10 minutes, and the PCM detected the EGR valve lift sensor (EGRV) signal indicated insufficient EGR flow during the EGR Monitor test.
What Are The Potential Causes Of The Acura P1491 Code?
- EGR valve lift sensor is stuck, damaged or has failed
- EGR control solenoid circuit is open or shorted to ground
- EGR control solenoid valve is damaged or has failed
- PCM has failed
