What Does The Ford P1436 Code Mean?

Key on or engine running; and the PCM detected the ACET signal was less than the self-test minimum amount of 0.13v in the self-test.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Ford P1436 Code?

  • ACET signal circuit shorted to sensor ground (return)
  • ACET signal circuit shorted to chassis ground
  • ACET sensor is damaged or has failed
  • PCM has failed
