What Does The Ford P1247 Code Mean?

This DTC sets when the indicated boost pressure is less than the desired boost pressure by greater than a calibrated value for a calibrated period of time.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Ford P1247 Code?

  • Intake air system leaks between the turbocharger and the intake manifold
  • Variable geometry turbocharger (VGT) slow to respond
  • VGT vanes stuck open
