What Does The Acura P1793 Code Mean?

This code indicates the condition that key on or engine running; and the PCM detected an unexpected voltage condition on the MAP sensor signal circuit to the TCM.

Note: The D4 lamp on the dash will flash 12 times if this code is set.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Acura P1793 Code?

Below are some potential causes of this DTC:

  • MAP signal circuit to the TCM is open
  • MAP signal circuit to the TCM is shorted to ground
  • MAP signal circuit to the TCM is shorted to VREF
  • MAP sensor connector is disconnected or damaged
  • TCM or PCM has failed
