What Does The Cadillac P1810 Code Mean?

Engine started, engine runtime over 5 seconds, system voltage over 10.0v, engine runtime over 5 seconds, Fuel Cutoff inactive, then during Condition 1 the PCM detected an invalid state of the Transmission Fluid Pressure (TFP) manual valve position switch circuit by deciphering the TFP manual valve position switch inputs.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Cadillac P1810 Code?

  • Inspect the transmission linkage from the gear select lever to the manual valve for proper adjustment
  • TFP valve position switch signal circuit is open or grounded
  • TFP valve position switch circuit shorted to another signal
  • TFP valve position switch is faulty
