What Does The Cadillac P1626 Code Mean?

Key on, Vehicle Theft Deterrent (VTD) System enabled and Fuel Decision Point reached, and the PCM detected a loss of “fuel enabled” due to a loss of communications with the engine running, or the PCM did not detect a password message form the Instrument Panel Cluster.

How Can You Fix The Cadillac P1626 Code?

  • Perform the Powertrain Onboard Diagnostic System Check
  • If DTC P1604 is also set, refer to the repair chart for the Loss of IPC Serial Data (the most likely cause is lost communications)
