What Does The Cadillac P1502 Code Mean?

Engine cranking; and the PCM determined that it did not receive the correct frequency code from the Theft Deterrent Module. The theft deterrent module will detect an unexpected voltage condition on the VSS/theft deterrent signal circuit and set DTC P1502.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Cadillac P1502 Code?

Below are some potential causes of this DTC:

  • VSS/Theft Deterrent signal circuit is open, shorted to ground or shorted to power (B+)
  • An inoperative theft deterrent module will also set this code
