What Does The BMW P1631 Code Mean?

Engine started, and the battery voltage is greater than 7 volts, this fault is only diagnosed during the throttle valve’s adaptation phase. It is not possible to move DVE from emergency air position. Vehicle speed is zero, throttle pedal is less than 14.9

What Are The Potential Causes Of The BMW P1631 Code?

  • Plate is sticking
  • Defective return spring
  • DVE electrical activation defective.
  • Throttle position sensor wiring may have shorted
  • Throttle valve is contaminated with foreign objects
