What Does The BMW P1626 Code Mean?

Engine started, at idle (to 1320rpm), the temperature must be 80 degrees Celsius. The throttle position sensor supplies implausible signal to the DME. The throttle valve activation occurs via an electric motor (throttle drive) in the throttle valve control

What Are The Potential Causes Of The BMW P1626 Code?

  • TP sensor signal circuit is open (inspect wiring & connector)
  • TP sensor signal circuit is shorted to ground
  • TP sensor or module is damaged or it has failed
  • Throttle valve is damaged or dirty
  • Throttle valve control module is faulty
