What Does The Acura B1806 Code Mean?

This code indicates poor communication between the Power Seat Control Unit and the MICU.

NOTE:

  • If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.
  • If DTCs B1055, B1057, B1157, B1159, B1255, B1355, B1955, B2155, B2156, and B2161 are also indicated, perform the MICU input test.
  • If no additional codes are present. perform the Power Seat Control Unit input test.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Acura B1806 Code?

Below are some possible causes of this DTC:

  • Loose or poor connection between the Power Seat Control Unit and the MICU
  • Blown fuse in the main under-hood fuse box
  • Blown fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box
  • “Open” circuit between the Power Seat Control Unit and the MICU
  • Poor ground
  • Faulty Power Seat Control Unit
  • Faulty MICU, replace the under-dash fuse/relay box
