OVERVIEWWhat Does The Acura B1188 Code Mean?
This code indicates poor communication between the Gauge Control Module and the MICU.
Note:
- If DTCs B1055, B1056, B1057, B1255, B1955, B2155, B2156, and/or B2161 are indicated, perform the MICU input test.
- If no additional codes are present, perform the Gauge Control Module input test.
What Are The Potential Causes Of The Acura B1188 Code?
Below are some possible causes of this DTC:
- Loose or poor connections between the Gauge Control Module and the MICU
- Blown fuse in the main under-hood fuse box
- Blown fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box
- “Open” or “Short” to ground at the Gauge Control Module
- “Open” or “Short” to ground at the MICU
- Faulty Gauge Control Module
- Faulty MICU
