What Does The Acura B1014 Code Mean?

This code indicates poor communication between the MICU and the Driver’s MPCS Unit.

NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Acura B1014 Code?

Below are some possible causes of this DTC:

  • Loose or poor connections between the MICU and driver’s MPCS unit
  • “Open” in the communication circuit between the MICU and the gauge control module
  • Faulty MICU
  • Faulty driver’s MPCS unit must be faulty
