OVERVIEWWhat Does The Volkswagen P1653 Code Mean?
Ignition off, the ECU detected a memory fault of the ABS control module. The Engine Control Module (ECM) communicates with all databus-capable control modules via a CAN databus. These databus-capable control modules are connected via two data bus wires.
What Are The Potential Causes Of The Volkswagen P1653 Code?
- Ground between engine and chassis may be broken
- Throttle position sensor may have failed
- Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor 2 has failed
- Throttle position sensor wiring may have shorted
- Faulty voltage supply
- ECM has failed
