What Does The Subaru P1591 Code Mean?

Key on, and the PCM detected an unexpected “low” voltage condition on the A/T Neutral Position Switch circuit during the test. Note: The engine will not start with this condition present.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Subaru P1591 Code?

  • Check any other DTC on display
  • Check input signal of ECM
  • Check harness between ECM and transmission harness connector
  • Check switch
  • Check selector cable connection
