What Does The Honda P1102 Code Mean?

The intake manifold runner control (IMRC) valve position sensor is mounted on the diaphragm rotary valve shaft to detect a malfunction in the IMRC valve. The engine control module (ECM)/powertrain control module (PCM) checks both the IMRC
solenoid valve command and the IMRC valve position sensor output. If the IMRC valve position sensor output is “Long“ (long runners) while the IMRC solenoid valve is ON, a malfunction (IMRC remains “Long“) is detected and a DTC is stored.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Honda P1102 Code?

  • ECM may need to be updated with the latest software
  • Faulty ECM
