What Does The Ford P1139 Code Mean?

Key on or engine running; and the PCM detected an unexpected voltage condition on the MAT sensor circuit during the test.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Ford P1139 Code?

  • Water-In-Fuel circuit is open between Indicator and the PCM
  • Water-In-Fuel circuit is shorted to ground
  • Water-In-Fuel power circuit is open (check fuse in I/P panel)
  • Water is present in the fuel filter housing (drain it and retest)
  • PCM has failed
