What Does The Dodge P1487 Code Mean?

Key on or engine running; system voltage over 10.5v, and the PCM detected an unexpected voltage condition on the High Speed Radiator Fan Relay control circuit during the CCM test.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Dodge P1487 Code?

  • HFAN radiator relay control circuit is open or shorted to ground
  • HFAN radiator relay power circuit is open (test power to IGN)
  • HFAN radiator fan relay is damaged or has failed
  • PCM has failed
