What Does The Dodge P1296 Code Mean?

Key on, altitude indicating zero feet above seal level, then the PCM detected the MAP Sensor was near 101 kPa; or with altitude at 1200 feet above sea level, the MAP Sensor was near 88 kPa

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Dodge P1296 Code?

  • MAP Sensor VREF circuit open between the Sensor and PCM
  • MAP Sensor ground circuit open between the Sensor and PCM
  • MAP Sensor is damaged or has failed
  • PCM has failed
