What Does The Chevrolet P1667 Code Mean?

Engine speed over 600 rpm, and the PCM detected the Actual and Commanded state of the Reverse Inhibit Solenoid driver control circuit did not match for over 5 seconds.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Chevrolet P1667 Code?

  • Reverse inhibit solenoid control circuit is open, shorted to ground or to power (B+)
  • Reverse solenoid power circuit is open (test ENG SENS fuse)
  • Reverse solenoid is damaged or has failed
  • PCM has failed
