What Does The Chevrolet P1630 Code Mean?

Engine started; and the PCM detected the system voltage was less than 9v, or it was more than 17v for 10 seconds.

How Can You Fix The Chevrolet P1630 Code?

  • Check for high resistance at the battery connections or at the Underhood Fuse Block power circuit connection to the PCM
  • Check the drive belt for excessive wear and the proper tension
  • Check the condition of the battery and the Generator output
