What Does The Chevrolet P1538 Code Mean?

Conditions for Setting the DTC: The air conditioning compressor relay circuit is a short to ground. An open condition exists.

How Can You Fix The Chevrolet P1538 Code?

  • Inspect harness connectors for backed-out terminals, improper mating, broken locks, improperly formed or damaged terminals, and poor terminal-to-wire connections at the ECM.
  • Inspect the wiring harness for damage.
