What Does The Chevrolet P1500 Code Mean?

Engine cranking, and the PCM did not detect any starter signals, or it detected a low starter signal while the engine was cranking, or a high signal after the engine started.

Note: This test occurs once per drive cycle for 400 milliseconds.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Chevrolet P1500 Code?

  • Starter signal circuit is open, shorted to ground or to power
  • Starter is damaged or has failed
  • PCM has failed
