What Does The Cadillac P1791 Code Mean?

Engine started, system voltage at 8-18v, no other CAN codes set, and the TCM receives no valid accelerator pedal data from the PCM for 2 seconds. The PCM sends accelerator pedal position data to the TCM. The TCM uses this data to modify the shift speeds.

How Can You Fix The Cadillac P1791 Code?

  • Perform the Diagnostic System Check for the Engine Controls
  • TCM may need to be replaced to repair this trouble code
