OVERVIEWWhat Does The Cadillac P1781 Code Mean?
Key on or engine running; and the PCM detected the engine torque signal was below the lower or over the upper limit, or that the torque signal was unreliable for one second. The Engine Torque signal is sent to the TCM by the PCM.
What Are The Potential Causes Of The Cadillac P1781 Code?
- Engine torque signal circuit is open, shorted to ground or to B+
- EBTCM has failed
- TCM flashes the Sports Lamp when this code is set
- TCM has failed
