What Does The Cadillac P1657 Code Mean?

Engine started, engine speed over 600 rpm, and the PCM detected the Actual state and the Commanded state of the Skip Shift control circuit did not match during the CCM test.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Cadillac P1657 Code?

  • Skip shift solenoid control circuit is open, shorted to ground or shorted to power (B+)
  • Skip shift solenoid power circuit is open (check ENG SEN fuse)
  • Skip shift solenoid is damaged or has failed
  • PCM has failed
