What Does The Cadillac P1524 Code Mean?

Engine started; TP Sensor already “learned” this key cycle, and the PCM detected the closed TP angle correction was 6.8 degrees. The PCM “learns” the closed throttle position when the ignition is turned to Lock position.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Cadillac P1524 Code?

Below are some potential causes of this DTC:

  • TP sensor signal is out-of-range “low”, or out-of-range “high”
  • Throttle linkage is damaged, binding or out of adjustment
  • Throttle body bore contains excessive debris or deposits
  • Throttle body is damaged
