What Does The Acura P1870 Code Mean?

Condition for setting the DTC:

DTC P0722, P0723, P0742, P0751, P0752, P0753, P0756, P0757, P0758, P1860 and P1870 not set, engine started, then driven to a speed of 15-58 mph, engine speed from 1000-3500 rpm, TP sensor signal from 15-99%, MAP sensor signal from 0-70 kPa.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Acura P1870 Code?

  • Engine speed signal circuit open or shorted (intermittent fault)
  • Internal transmission component problem
  • TCC PWM or Shift Solenoids have failed (mechanical fault)
