What Does The Acura P1835 Code Mean?

Condition for setting the DTC:

DTC P0122 and P0123 not set, engine started, engine running, throttle position less than 70%, and the PCM detected the Kick Down Switch remained in “on” position during the CCM test.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Acura P1835 Code?

Below are some potential causes of this DTC:

  • Kick down switch signal circuit is shorted to ground
  • Kick down switch ground circuit open between switch & ground
  • Kick down switch is damaged, out-of-adjustment or has failed
  • PCM has failed
