What Does The Acura P1792 Code Mean?

Key on or engine running; and the PCM detected an unexpected voltage condition on the ECT sensor signal circuit to the TCM.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Acura P1792 Code?

  • ECT signal circuit to the TCM is open
  • ECT signal circuit to the TCM is shorted to ground
  • ECT signal circuit to the TCM is shorted to VREF
  • ECT sensor connector is disconnected or damaged
  • TCM or PCM has failed
