What Does The Acura P1791 Code Mean?

Vehicle driven for 15 seconds, and the PCM detected an unexpected voltage condition on the vehicle speed signal circuit to the TCM.

Note: The lockup clutch does not engage when this code is set.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Acura P1791 Code?

  • VSS signal circuit to the TCM is open
  • VSS signal circuit is shorted to ground
  • VSS signal circuit to the TCM is shorted to VREF

  • TCM or PCM has failed
