What Does The Acura P1717 Code Mean?

Condition for setting the DTC: P1705 and P1706 not set, engine started, vehicle driven, and the PCM detected an unexpected voltage condition on the Transmission Range Switch ATP RVS circuit during the CCM test.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Acura P1717 Code?

Below are some potential causes of this DTC:

  • Transmission range switch circuit is open or shorted to ground
  • Transmission range switch circuit is shorted to VREF or power
  • Transmission range switch connector is disconnected
  • TCM or PCM has failed
