What Does The Acura P1705 Code Mean?

Engine started, vehicle driven and the PCM detected two gear position switch inputs simultaneously (two input at the same time).

Note: The D4 lamp on the dash will flash 5 times if this code is set.

What Are The Potential Causes Of The Acura P1705 Code?

  • A/T gear position switch signal circuit is shorted to ground
  • A/T gear position switch signal circuit is shorted to another wire
  • A/T gear position switch is damaged or has failed
  • TCM or PCM has failed
