OVERVIEWWhat Does The Acura P16BF Code Mean?
Condition for setting the DTC:
With ignition switch ON (II) the signal of the on command from the PCM to the starter and the return signal from the starter cut relay do not coincide for at least 5 seconds. The execution time is continuous.
NOTE: Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot.
What Are The Potential Causes Of The Acura P16BF Code?
Below are some potential causes of this DTC:
- Poor connections or loose terminals at starter cut relay 1, starter cut relay 2, and the PCM
- “Short” in the wire between the PCM and starter cut relay 1 or starter cut relay 2
- PCM needs to be updated with the latest software
- Faulty PCM
