OVERVIEWWhat Does The Acura P1696 Code Mean?
This code indicates the condition that key on or engine running; and the PCM detected an unexpected “low” input on the TCFC Data Line circuit during the CCM test.
Note: This code applies to models with a Traction Control System.
What Are The Potential Causes Of The Acura P1696 Code?
Below are some potential causes of this DTC:
- A/T TCFC data line is shorted to sensor ground
- A/T TCFC data line is shorted to chassis ground
- TCM or PCM has failed
